Edwards Lifesciences Warehouse Operator in Valencia, Spain

The Warehouse Operator ensures the proper storage, recordkeeping, inventory counts, and conditions of storage, in keeping with regulatory and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and store materials in designated warehouse locations to facilitate ease of access and retrieval; enter requests for returns to generate hazard material return kit, including receiving and de-contaminating customer return units from the field

• Accurately issue parts and adjusting inventory counts per work orders using RF Smart scanners which links to JDE, resolve count discrepancies, providing timely fulfillment of production material requests to ensure no disruption to the production schedule, while working independently at the highest levels of quality and productivity

• Assess effectiveness of Receiving Area layout and re-organize storage floor plan for ease of maintaining orderly storage, including proposing higher-level changes for review and approval prior to implementation

• Update work order status in the appropriate systems to ensure all parties have up-to-date status on all materials; facilitate work-in-process tracking through the Service and Refurbishment functions, updating records in JDE and performing higher level system functions to maintain work order status files

• Perform daily cycle counts per established schedule and reconcile discrepancies, including researching root cause and escalating to supervisor for resolution, as needed

• Review, follow, and perform job functions in compliance with established work instructions and adherence with SOPs, including entering information into JDE

• Drive the development of measurements and metrics in the monitoring of inventory movement in the service and manufacturing functions and participate in continuous process improvement within the area

• Monitor inventory levels and generate requisitions and provide receiving documentation to finance for payment to vendors

• Dispatch MRO throughout the plant, in fulfillment of requisitions and/or request to move

• Other incidental duties: Other duties as requested by leadership

Education and Experience:

• Hold a related degree qualification or relevant production supply experience

• 4 years’ experience previous work experience in warehouse support required

Additional Skills:

• Strong communication skills, e.g., providing work instructions, using tact and diplomacy to resolve disputes

• Able to read, comprehend, speak, and write English

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Good math skills, equivalent with high school education level

• Good computer skills with proven ability to learn computer-based programs

• Adhere to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to warehouse operations and de-contamination of biohazards

• Must be able to work with minimum supervision by following general work instructions for routine tasks, decontamination procedures, and detailed work instructions for semi-routine tasks

• Work in a Team environment, including exchanging information related to performing required tasks with colleagues, within and outside of the warehouse

• Strict attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to accurately perform routine work such as material picking, sorting, and cycle counting, including JDE and other related system operation and updates

• Knowledge of purchasing and accounts payable systems related to developing and submitting required documentation

• Ongoing completion of decontamination practices and sensitive material handling training

• Broad understanding of assigned receiving area and the area's role in supporting service center operations

• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
