Edwards Lifesciences Technologist, Technical Services in Valencia, Spain

Provide repair and maintenance services on electronic medical products and strictly following SOPs

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complex work using drawings, diagrams, written and verbal instructions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions

• Analyze defects and repair them by replacing components in adherence to SOPs (Standard Operation Procedures); formulate and propose technical solutions

• Document all repair and maintenance work by following respective procedure including complaint evaluation utilizing related systems (e.g., PLM Ignite,CSMS (JDE) and Smart Solve (QMS))

• Execute complex recurrent testing of the products (e.g., visual inspection, performance assurance and electrical safety)

• Receive defective Instruments and follow respective procedure (e.g., decontamination)

• Provide complex technical support for sales/technical departments, hemodynamic monitors and pressure transducer cables including developing solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Perform customer visits to carry out service on site

Education and Experience:

Technical Diploma in Technical degree/certificate of apprenticeship, 4 years years experience previous experience in electronic medical device Required

Additional Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills

• Problem solving methodology, root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices)

• Strong computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite; ERP (e.g., JDE) experience preferred

• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn complex products through independent learning

• Full understanding of equipment

• Full knowledge of product-specific information

• Ability to perform complex troubleshooting as it relates to electronic medical systems

• Ability to read and understand procedures, drawings, schematics and carry out assembly instructions

• Ability to use a wider range of manufacturing, test, development or diagnostic equipment; use tools such measuring equipment

• Knowledge and understanding of statistical techniques and procedures

• Ability to draft technical documents (i.e, manufacturing and testing procedures)

• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to electronic medical systems

• Strict attention to detail
