Edwards Lifesciences Business Systems Administration and Data Manager, EMEA for SFDC in Valencia, Spain

Job purpose:

Business systems administration and data group will be part of our Business Solutions group. Responsible for supporting SalesForce.com, Esker and Marketo platforms and data maintenance within assigned region (e.g. EMEA) including the delivery of small enhancements and services in partnership with stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for data quality and data accuracy.

  • Assists the different functions and business units in data analysis, data profiling, data modelling, and data mapping capabilities.

  • Responsible for understanding end-to-end data flows and identifying data dependencies in support of delivery, release, and change management.

  • Responsible for the local implementation and maintenance of the enterprise data dictionary, and end-to-end data flows/transformations.

  • Partners with data governance lead to ensure solutions adhere to the organization’s data principles and guidelines.

  • Responsible for the support of the 700 users of salesforce

  • Supervise business systems activities (e.g., SalesForce.com) and act as the lead of “Power Users” across the assigned region (e.g., EMEA). Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment with internal methodology and best practices

  • Manage the scheduling, distribution of work, and handling of new user requests while achieving/exceeding team performance metrics; Resolve performance issues

  • Propose and oversee the execution of configuration changes as well as providing recommendations on the design and development of system enhancements

  • Lead investigations and/or corrective actions, perform non-conformance investigations for review with team members, propose solutions and assure documentation content is valid

  • Support complex improvement projects

  • Guide and mentor team members

  • Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • In-depth technical knowledge and experience in the assigned work area, and substantial experience related to SalesForce Required.

  • Proven experience in coordinating support teams.

  • Five + years of hands-on data experience, with a demonstrated increase of responsibilities over time.

  • Five + years of leading salesforce administration

  • Understanding of key DBMS platforms like SQL Server, Oracle and DB2.

  • Knowledge and expertise in data modelling and management techniques and strategies.

  • Proven project management expertise

  • Technical expertise in data architecture principles and design

  • Experience working in a medical device industry preferred

  • Fluent in English required

  • Full understanding of all aspects of processes and equipment used across areas of responsibility

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise teams and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all related aspects.

  • Ability to provide immediate supervision to a unit or group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals, and maintaining schedules

  • Identify and escalate complex problems for resolution, including coordinating with technical staff and other areas to develop alternative solutions

  • Accountable for the performance and results of a team within its own discipline or function

  • May represent the organization to outside contacts, e.g., vendors, suppliers, contractors, staffing agencies

  • Works on issues of limited scope; follows established practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained
