Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Business Service Gr. in Tokyo, Japan

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small, medium and large sized process migration projects for business units in collaboration with functional departments such as Finance, IT, and Supply Chain.

  • Manage stakeholders within a highly matrixed and Japan structure. Be the local champion for process improvement in Japan.

  • Lead the deployment, execution and follow through of lean and Six Sigma programs.

  • Serve as a project management subject matter expert, including guiding and mentoring other project members; demonstrate expertise in business process.

  • Manage distributor management and proxy application of contract for business units.

  • Establish and maintain team members and project stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications.

  • Take inventory of branch inventory.

  • Manage thermometers in branch warehouses.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with experience in managing large to midsize projects and/or programs of increasing complexity Required

  • Demonstrated track record in people management Required

  • Experience working in a medical device industry Required

Additional Skills:

  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management tools

  • Demonstrated leadership in driving change within a matrixed environment

  • Proven successful project management leadership skills

  • Excellent English skills

  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional and/or matrixed teams and to articulately train technical subject matters

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Expert understanding of business excellence procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

  • Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to lean and/or Six Sigma

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
