Edwards Lifesciences Payroll Analyst in Shannon, Ireland

The Role: Responsible for the processing and transactions of payroll activities.

This is a 12 month Part Time Contract Position.

Responsibilities

• Processing fortnightly and monthly payroll with complete ownership end to end, in an accurate and timely manner.

• Ensure sufficient controls are in place and are implemented to capture changes month on month and any differences are reconciled and explained.

• Liaise with the external payroll provider to ensure timely completion of all payroll activities.

• Liaise with Human Resources, managers, finance and external providers on payroll matters.

• Work collaboratively with managers to ensure that the time and attendance system is correctly updated.

• Contact person for all employee related payroll queries, such as BIK, tax, completion of all relevant forms such as salary certificates.

• Manage and administer all company benefit schemes and the relevant reporting; Pension, Medical insurance, company share purchase scheme, company recognition scheme, including remitting fortnightly and monthly payments, reconciliation of contributions, new starters and leavers to the scheme.

• Managing payroll aspects of new starters and handling the leaving process.

• Contact person for all employee related payroll queries, such as BIK, tax, completion of all relevant forms such as salary certificates.

• Work with external tax and payroll providers regarding specific payroll treatment of expatriate and international assignees.

• Ensure a consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and process improvements as headcount increases.

• Preparing reports, summarising and collating information for other departments such as finance and human resources as required.

Requirements

• 4 years’ experience in a similar role.

• IPASS qualification desirable.

• Can work to tight deadlines under pressure.

• Have excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Proven ability to work well under pressure.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality at all times.

• Have a good understanding of the Irish PAYE and Social Welfare systems.

• Excellent working knowledge of the MS Office Suite and payroll related systems.

• Good written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including conveying sensitive information

• Good problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

• Ability to complete tasks in resourceful and effective ways

• Excellent attention to detail

• Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations
