Edwards Lifesciences Human Resources Specialist, Employee Relations in Salt Lake City, Utah
The Human Resources Specialist, Employee Relations will enable a best in class employee experience through subject matter expertise, consultation and service delivery for Draper employees. This includes the implementation, delivery, and management of innovative HR solutions. At Edwards, the HR Solutions Employee Relations team plays a critical role in our ability to deliver devices that maximize our patient's recovery and quality of life by facilitating communication between managers and employees and keeping our strong culture in tact. This role is an escalation point for the HRS Representative (Tier 1) to provide specialist expertise to triage and resolve HR cases. This role works directly with people leaders, employees, and the HRBP function to meet human resources needs and provides inputs to program design.
This role is part of a new HR Solutions team that we are building within Edwards. This person must be able to exercise good judgement during ambiguity as the team grows and evolves.

Lead in the implementation and delivery of end-to-end solutions to provide a best-in-class employee experience for Employee Relations. Possess skills and experience to provide solutions across multiple pillars.
Conduct the dispute and investigations process: Receive, identify, and initiate investigations, Document outcomes and prepare investigation reports, Notify the involved parties of the decision
Address escalated moderately complex inquiries and act as reviewer/approver of transactions, as applicable.
Perform audits. Examine and verify data for accuracy and consistency.
Provide guidance to program development related to assigned function to improve the employee experience, balanced with function-specific needs and drivers. Provide recommendations and insights to the Functional Team Leader to continuously improve HR Knowledge Base and Case Management content.
Identify continuous improvement processes (e.g., to reduce inquiry volume, reduce task execution turnaround time).
Engage with third-party providers to establish, develop, and review the suite of services, and ensure that third-party vendors adhere to established service level agreements..
Provide input for the development and delivery of moderately complex communication materials related to programs, plans, policies, processes.
Proactively stay up to date on trends and developments, proactively providing ideas and recommendations to leaders regarding best practices and trends. Work to enhance the capability of self and team.
Other incidental duties
Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 3 years of work experience in Human Resources Required
2+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, Generalist, or Employee Relations Specialist Required
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
Experience with investigations or dispute resolutions cases is strongly preferred
Experience with interacting and supporting all levels or management is
Experience with interacting and supporting all levels of employees, both hourly and professional, to resolve difficult issues
Relevant experience in Employee Relations and/or multiple HRS pillars
Experience managing HR system data and processes
Ability to manage high workloads and conflicting priorities, both in support of the HR team and their customers or employees
Experience and understanding of HR enabling technologies (e.g., case management, employee and manager self-service) and how they work within a customer service business environment (ServiceNow preferred)
Experience with an ERP system (Workday preferred)
Experience with Microsoft tools and applications
Results-oriented mindset (high sense of urgency, determination, tenacity, etc.)
Professional, high energy, engaging personality that comes across over the telephone
Substantial knowledge of standard business practices and professionalism in a customer service environment
Substantial specialized knowledge of end-to-end HR solutions in employee relations to deliver a best in class employee experience
