Edwards Lifesciences Sr. IT Internal Auditor in Prague, Czech Republic

Ensures Edwards' assesses compliance and provides consulting with financial regulations, company policies, internal controls, and best practices for systems and business processes. Please refer to the job description for additional details.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and perform business process, Information Technology General Control (ITGC) and application control walkthroughs and testing for SOX Compliance

• Plan internal audits and projects, make judgments around objectives and scope, to ensure effective and efficient audit execution including executing internal audit reviews and projects in compliance with professional and departmental standards to identify and mitigate business and IT risk

• Assess risks inherent in areas under review with high complexity while applying thought leadership and best practices

• Provide complex analysis, propose solutions and provide advisory consultative services to operational, financial, IT, and business unit management to improve internal controls, safeguard assets, and ensure compliance with management objectives

• Develop internal audit reports of operational reviews and oral presentations in a timely basis

• Develop value added management actions to mitigate identified risks

• Provide coaching and knowledge transfer to team members and others stakeholders

• Special Projects – Provide basic ad hoc reporting and analysis

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in in related field, 5 Years years experience of previous related experience Required

3 Years years experience relevant IT Audit work experience, Big 4 or similar Preferred

Additional Skills:

• Professional audit or systems designation or candidacy preferred (e.g., CISA, CPA, ACCA, CISM, CISSP, CIA)

• Public accounting experience (e.g., Big Four CPA firms) preferred

• Experience with a broad range of operating systems, databases or security tools (e.g., Active Directory, SQL, Cloud systems, AWS, Firewalls) required

• Data analytic skills (e.g., IDEA, Tableau, Alteryx) and knowledge of audit management software (e.g., TeamMate+) preferred

• Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills

• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and investigative skills

• English fluency required; Ability to speak other languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Chinese/Mandarin) preferred

• Substantial knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and guidelines

• Substantial understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

• Substantial knowledge of financial concepts, ITGC (IT General Controls), COSO principles, and internal controls

• Substantial knowledge of network, application and system security issues, resolution, and security counter-measures

• Substantial knowledge with managing third-party risk, mobile devices, privacy, segregation of duty, change management, and IT governance processes

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

• Strict attention to detail

• Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to travel internationally

Travel Requirements:

• Embark on 3-5 business trips per year to regional locations, and 1-2 business trips to the US and/or other regions on an annual basis. Trips are typically up to two weeks in length
