Edwards Lifesciences Senior Financial Analyst, SURGICAL in Prague, Czech Republic

In this FP&A role you will support and partner with the SURGICAL division in the area of Planning, Reporting, Analysis and P&L management:

  • Manage analytical reviews and key variance analysis with the objective of providing insightful feedback and analysis, accurate information while explaining variances and underlying trends to Divisional Leadership team.

  • Support Divisional departments and cost centers in their OPEX management, forecasting/plan and actual spend tracking

  • Analyze and drive business decisions for SURGICAL Division. This responsibility requires the ability to partner with Business stakeholders (Commercial and Marketing, Medical Affairs and Professional Education organization as well as country organizations)

  • Consolidate and analyze Sales, Cost of sales (including Technical Service), SG&A and Headcount submitted by countries for Actuals, Forecast and Budget purposes

  • Drive innovation, standardization and automation of systems and reports ensuring data integrity

  • Work as an effective team member, supporting colleagues to meet deadlines and to deliver reporting that meets corporate standards and agreed service levels

  • Provide insightful analysis on the key KPIs to support decision making

  • Work closely with other Finance functions such as local FP&A teams, accounting team, and other business partners (HR, Supply Chain, IT). This responsibility implies coordination, reviews and controls on outstanding risks and activities performed across the Region

  • Supporting the European finance community with the use of our systems, mainly during budgeting and forecasting cycles

  • Engages in special projects to review the value of reports, enhance efficiencies, streamline processes and controls as well as new systems and tools implementation

  • Ad’hoc analysis on financial performance, cost and investment levels

Your Skills:

  • Master and/or Bachelor degree in accounting or economics or a related subject (MBA a plus)

  • Minimum of four/five years relevant work experience, preferably in multinational companies within the product manufacturing industry or medical/pharmaceutical industries.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. Results-focused with attention for details

  • Stamina, pro-active, willingness, autonomy and flexibility to work well and deliver against tight deadlines

  • Outstanding interpersonal, social, communication and business partnering skills to provide value added support to the business in a clear and concise manner.

  • Ability to work cooperatively in small teams and partner with different stakeholders. The person need to partner effectively and with confidence at all levels of management and across a variety of cultures.

  • Willing to go into details (hands-on) and apply analytical skills to the different areas of data available within the company

  • Experienced in working with financials systems such as JDE and HFM

  • Excellent command of Excel and good knowledge of Powerpoint

  • A command of both written and spoken English is a must. Other European languages are an asset.
