Edwards Lifesciences Learning & Development Manager in Prague, Czech Republic

Job purpose:

  • Responsible for driving training and development programs within the global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitation of program content

  • Identify, evaluate, and lead the implementation of training and development programs and process improvement and/or course correction/course alignment opportunities

  • Represents leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and global training and development team

  • Consult in project setting within specific global training and development area

  • Provides global training and development leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level

  • Lead project teams and cross-functional initiatives

  • Define regional development program, develop models and drive implementation. Define regional learning needs and develop and implement solutions. Contribute to strategic training and development projects and program activities with accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables including identifying gaps, recommending solutions while providing direction and guidance to project teams

  • Establish training and development metrics and ROI (return on investment) (e.g., certification programs) for key projects

  • Manage training and development vendors to ensure vendor performance and maximizing investment

  • Interface and network with external experts to understand the market and emerging tools, trends and opportunities

  • Establish key relationships with internal and external stakeholders for assigned functional area

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven success facilitating materials and delivering training

  • Master's Degree or equivalent in related field , 8 years years experience of previous related experience Required

  • Savvy on latest techniques for learning and development

  • Proven successful project management skills

  • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite and global training and development systems

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak)

  • Recognized as an expert in own area with specialized depth within the organization

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of global training and development processes and/or systems

  • Expert knowledge on the design, development, implementation of large-scale talent and leadership development.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
