Edwards Lifesciences Anaplan Architect in Prague, Czech Republic

Role Purpose and location:

  • Role Purpose and location: We are looking for a technical architect to lead our Anaplan team. In this role, you will use your technical and functional expertise creating and designing Anaplan-based solutions on a wide variety of functional areas such as Finance, Operations, and/or Strategy.

  • Position will be located at Edwards office in Prague, Czech Republic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance and accountable of the architecture of the Anaplan platform. Lead the architecture delivery of projects and enhancements for the business user community across EMEA and Global. Act as the technical leader for the development team, and as the partner to modelers across various departments.

  • Compile or design enterprise and reference architectural models of current and proposed systems across the enterprise for use internally and in conjunction with external technology partners.

  • Develop, institute, and maintain the IT design methodology, development process methodology, technology standards, and best practices Provide oversight to ensure compliance with architectural standards and practices through all aspects of planning, execution, and operation Identify and define the opportunities for integration, selecting the tools, specifying the shared data & code resources, defining the interfaces and data-flows, and monitoring the success of the integration

  • Lead the evaluation of new technology targeted for possible integration into the existing IT environment.

  • Represents technical leadership on projects within Anaplan, interfacing with other architects, project managers and implementation team, provides technical leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level

  • Work on project teams to translate business requirements into system qualities that lead to repeatable and executable design strategies and patterns.

  • Survey external emerging developments, and evangelize new technologies, standards and methodologies

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience is required. Master's degree is highly desired

  • At least 10 years related Information Technology experience as a technical Architect is required which includes 3 years Architect experience in Anaplan model architecture & design and application integration

  • Must have Anaplan Model Builder or Solution Architect certification

  • Expert knowledge in at least one discipline (e.g. Analysis, Design, Development, QA/QC, etc.)

  • Substantial technical knowledge and subject matter expertise in at least one area (e.g. Application Development, Infrastructure Services, IT Security, Business Process, etc.).

  • Works on complex problems across multiple technical disciplines

  • Follows standard patterns and practices set by more senior architects

  • Strong sense of ownership and self-motivation.

  • Cooperative team-player who works well with global teams in a multi-national environment.

  • Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment.

  • Capability to use proper business / technical language.

  • Willingness to travel, up to 20%
