Edwards Lifesciences Patient Advocacy Manager (temporary) in Nyon, Switzerland
Major Job Functions:
Contribute to the EMEA Communications and Patient Advocacy strategy along with the team.
Based on this, plan and implement patient advocacy strategies and campaigns for the region which raise awareness of heart valve disease.
On behalf of Edwards, manage and develop the company’s relationships with the Global Heart Hub Heart Valve Disease Patient Council and individual patient groups. Ensure that these relationships are transparent, compliant and founded on Edwards’ ethical guidelines for interaction with patient groups.
Ensure that Business Unit and Public Affairs colleagues understand why patient advocacy should be supported by the company.
Where deemed appropriate, work with the External Communications Manager to implement PR and media activity in a specific country.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Public relations or communications skills. Native or highly proficient English language skills and, ideally, native fluency in German or another European language.
- At least five years’ experience in communications. Experience in handling journalist relationships. Strong English writing skills and knowledge of digital communications. Experience of working with patients and/or patient groups are an advantage

They should be able to gain sufficient understanding of complex medical issues to communicate them in a simple, clear and effective way.
