Edwards Lifesciences Legal Analyst in Nyon, Switzerland
The Legal Analyst provides essential, highly specialized client and attorney support regarding several aspects of legal services and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, review legal documents and contracts under the supervision of the attorneys
Maintain company templates agreements, incorporate attorney revisions to accommodate regulatory, legislative, industry changes and organize translations
Support attorneys in administering company secretary function (subsidiary formations, dissolutions, and required regulatory filings, including drafting articles and bylaws, analyzing laws, rules, and regulations related to filings, and preparing and maintaining corporate subsidiary minute books and records)
Communicate with internal business clients and external vendors as needed within the area of specialization
Prepare and file moderately complex documents, tasks, and/or projects in specialized area
Review documents for completeness and accuracy, Secure necessary signature/authorizations and approved documentation and organize legalization when required
Develop and manage processes and tools to promote the Legal team visibility, to collect and analyze relevant data, promote the collaboration and knowledge sharing, and to optimize legal vendors and technology use efficiency
Create and maintain internal and external due dates and deadlines and follow-up on external and internal correspondence
Provide training and support to Legal system users in other departments and legal entities
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
3 years+ of corporate subsidiary management work experience
7 years related work experience, including in a multinational company
Experience in USPTO-EFS, and eCounsel, iManage, IPDAS, corporate reporting software and docketing software
Required Skills:
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, attention to detail and investigative skills
Excellent organizational skills, project management, follow-up and execution skills
Able to manage multiple projects/multitask and demonstrated time management and prioritization skills
Proactive approach to recognizing needs, anticipating issues, and solving problems
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a growing legal team, cross-functionally, and in a matrix environment
