Edwards Lifesciences Associate Manager, Professional Education in Nyon, Switzerland
SURGICAL Professional Education:
Design, coordinate and manage of all the professional education activities across Europe and some strategic local events, related to Surgical– whether Edwards branded or at congresses, under all appropriate formats (conferences, live surgeries, symposia, focus groups, wetlabs, webcasts, internet, newsletter … etc …)
Define course objectives and target audience.
Drive, together with SURGICAL marketing and the rest of SURGICAL Medical Affairs, the education activities around guidelines, products and procedures.
Overall responsibility of programs execution, in close collaboration with marketing managers and flawless attention to logistics details.
Build a digital strategy with the Professional Education assets.
Manage the digital Professional Education assets.
Develop and maintain the Professional Education cockpits for metrics.
Develop an overall strategy towards CME requirements in Europe based on careful monitoring and understanding of country specifics and requirements.
Proactively gather country needs for Professional Education and update the strategy and tactics accordingly
Manage existing and rising KOLs in the field of cardio vascular surgery.
Ensure compliance with legal rules (Rfaas, letters of engagement, consulting agreements) either directly with the Legal Department.
Participate in meetings, seminars, congresses and training sessions to acquire the latest clinical information useful to customers and team members and integrates new information into professional education strategy and tactics.
Proactively collaborate with THV and TMTT
Propose & manage budget for EU training (spending’s and accruals in line with quarterly plan), is accountable for an effective rebilling process to countries
Manage all training related consulting agreements and contracts.
Ensure that the company remains compliant with EUCOMED rules in all circumstances. Monitor the activity of Professional Education speaker bureau and report to management on a quarterly basis
Facilitate the targeting of invitations by the sales force by providing clear guidelines re. the intended audience, in line with education needs.
Define and implement follow-up tools to monitor customer satisfaction and impact on activity for each event.
Collaborate with Global Education to harvest synergies
Management of external vendors involved in: logistics, Audiovisuals or wetlab organization; budget follow-up and together with the purchasing manager yearly assessment of vendor performance.
Strong education background – advanced degree in sciences (MD, Ph.D, PharmD); MBA is a plus Good knowledge of the healthcare industry (Pharma, Biotech, Medtech)
Be performance oriented, have a “never give up” attitude. The ideal candidate can work with full autonomy while being comfortable with regular reporting
Possess excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to interact with key opinion leaders and societies at a high level.
Ability to nail down programs from business objectives
Must have an interest into new learning technologies (webcasts – live surgeries – internet forums …)
Fluent with MS Office tools.
Pay close attention to detail, and has a huge interest into customer services
Be a team player with capacity to work remote and to travel across Europe
English fluent and other European languages a plus, with preference for French, German, Italian or Spanish
Be creative, have integrity, business acumen, and be able to develop trustful relationships with both KOLs and the field force
Has passion for education and communication
3-5 years’ experience in a similar position within a healthcare pharma/Medtech/Biotech company
Proven track record of designing and implementing value adding Professional Education programs
Strong experience at managing customers in a healthcare environment
Proven track record for project management
Must have experience acting in a multinational context
Knowledge of cardiovascular environment is a plus but not mandatory.
Experience with KOL management within the healthcare industry
