Edwards Lifesciences ANZ THV Business Development & Key Account Manager in North Ryde, Australia

Manage and lead a field team to drive alignment, adoption and execution of therapy development initiatives from patient through to the heart team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or lead a field team including performance management. Develop team members to increase business acumen and sales / functional

  • Establish an understanding / identification of referral dynamics and behaviours and the potential impacts on patient access within the clinical pathway

  • Establish key performance criteria and metrics to monitor the impact of Therapy Development investments in collaboration with the field and marketing teams.

  • Develop relationships with key HCPs (e.g., referring & implanting physicians and key account staff) through regular engagement, education and outreach activities.

  • Provide technical expertise on devices, procedures, patient selection, screening, imaging, Heart Team concept and clinical data as required in field based conversations.

  • Identify and meet with existing HCPs to identify needs and constraints

  • Identify and differentiate root cause of patient access restrictions between outreach and patient pathway

  • Identify specific bottlenecks and work with internal and external stakeholders to refer to multi-disciplinary heart teams

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Life Sciences or related field with related experience Required

  • Experience working with HCPs, KOLs, and other stakeholders (e.g., Physicians) Preferred

  • People management experience required

Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience working with a range of business, clinical, marketing, and technical professionals to help navigate through complex situations.

  • Proven successful people and project management skills

  • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Extensive understanding of procedures while defining team operating standards and ensuring essential procedures are followed based on knowledge of own discipline

  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of therapy development

  • Knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to therapy development

  • Demonstrated skill set to manage assigned team and provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of therapy development to the business

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross-functional team (s)

  • Ability to consult in a project setting

  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
