Edwards Lifesciences Field Clinical Specialist Manager, Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies in Newbury, United Kingdom

Manage Professional Education department. Work closely with Professional Educational Director to ensure a best-in-class EMEA Professional Education Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Field Clinical Specialists in charge of on-site education activities related to Edwards devices and related procedures

  • Participate on creation and update of all training documents and tools (SOPs, reporting forms), gather insights from the field to support the document update process, inform and train his team and sales force as per need. Align with Quality and regulatory teams to ensure full alignment on compliance and process.

  • Establish, maintain and develop strong customer relationships on all aspects related to education, product knowledge, scientific activities as per overall regional strategy. In particular maintain close relationship with KOLs to ensure Edwards educational offer and activities are best in class.

  • Participate on definition and implementation of educational training plan across the region according to business priorities and customer needs

  • Attend and educate at conferences as needed

  • Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in in related scientific (health care) field related experience Required and

Demonstrated track record in people management Required

Master's Degree or equivalent in in related field Experience working in a cardio vascular surgery Preferred

Additional Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related tools and systems

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Fluent in English

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of field educational processes and/or good training practices

  • Demonstrated ability to manage assigned team to provide coaching and feedback to maintain the highest standard of professional education of the team, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of field education to the business

  • Ability to provide surgeons and their teams with all aspects related to the use of Edwards products; theoretical training, live implantation, device and procedure understanding and implementation

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Business integrity and ethics to align with Edwards credo

  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team
