Edwards Lifesciences Business Unit Manager TMTT Italy in Milan, Italy

The TMTT (Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies) Business Unit mission is leading and transforming treatment for patients with mitral and tricuspid valve disease by:

  • Addressing the unmet needs of large, diverse and complex patient populations

  • Delivering a portfolio of differentiated innovations to transform care through optimal treatment and excellent outcomes

  • Developing significant evidence to change standard of care

This is an exciting opportunity to join the TMTT Team as the Business Unit Manager in Italy. In addition, you would be part of the local Italian Leadership Team across all four of Edwards business units. The role reports to the Regional TMTT Director based in Switzerland. The Business Unit Manager, TMTT Italy leads the Italian TMTT hybrid Sales/Clinical team and directs the activities of external agents across the Italian regions to achieve financial goals. The Business Unit Manager contributes to the sales strategy definition and defines the sales targets of the team. He / She steers the related commercial activities (e.g. marketing) and holds full P&L responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team of “hybrid” sales & clinical roles that are focused on advancing the TMTT - business strategy.These specialized roles balance the needs of patients while expanding the commercialization of TMTT’s portfolio of mitral and tricuspid products.This role also identifies and interprets market trends and implications and sharing this knowledge with the team.

  • Hires, develops and retains talent in the Edwards commercial organization while leading and representing a BU across a region

  • Manages team of external agents to support commercial operations with customers

  • Drives commercialization of Edwards products and services across the region

  • Other incidental duties as required

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in in related field extensive progressive sales experience - Required

  • Demonstrated successful track record of managing a team of sales and or clinical employees - Required

  • Extensive medical devices industry experience - Required

  • Identifies and interprets market trends and implications, applying this knowledge to management of the team

  • Recognized as expert resource based on a broad understanding of multiple external factors (financial, regulatory, economic) and how they impact Edwards and its customers

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Leads and represents a BU across a region of moderate strategic impact

  • Frequently interacts with senior-level management

  • External contact primarily on extremely complex sales

  • Frequently interacts with internal and external management and senior-level stakeholders concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications

  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
