Edwards Lifesciences Sr. Sales & Clinical Specialist (TMTT), Nordics in Malmo, Sweden
Role Purpose: Under the direction of the Business Unit Manager /, Responsible for introduction of new therapies to the market, launch of new products, the achievement of the sales and profit objectives of a specified territory and product portfolio. Promote and establishes physician and account education of the company’s products and services
Provide clinical training and guidance to the TMTT customers , ensuring effective support and proctoring for clinicians as training and commercializing sites in Europe
Be responsible for implants performance on the given territory
Major Job Functions: Commercial Role:
Plan and implement actions to achieve sales and profit targets as defined in the Business annual sales plan.
Monitor sales activity, plan and prepare forecasts by account, product and therapy for the given territory as well as propose expenses for meetings and/or customer activities
Promoting educational events, clinical sessions, trials and marketing studies to customers
Drive penetration of Edwards products in the given territory, strengthen relationships and create new businesses. Introduce new therapies in the region, launch new products. Work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Professional Education.
Execute the Edwards marketing and product launch strategy for new products. When needed, coordinate the activities from site selection to independence working closely with other teams (Education, Clinical, Marketing) and according to global strategy.
Be responsible for the inventory management or/and installed base of monitors on territory
Implement tender and price strategy in territory and adapt as needed in coordination with Sales Manager/BUM. Provide with the technical and economical aspects for all public tenders
Report on a regularly basis to the BUM/ all field activities & maintain an up to date customer data base
Collect, analyze and provide with external (market) and internal (products performance, success rate..) data.
Ensure to report all products and procedures complaints to the local Quality & Regulatory departments within 24hours – compliance management
Clinical Specialist Role:
Acquire a thorough working knowledge of the products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications
Assist in developing the TMTT procedure in both Cardiology and Surgical environments
Under the responsibility of the Regional Professional Education Manager, assist in planning and implementing physician and support staff trainings
Advise both Cardiologists and Surgeons in the patient selection process and suitability for a Transcatheter Heart Valve
Maintain high quality by following the Procedural Success Rate (PSR) objectives
Attend at least the first 5 implants at each new site, depending on customer expertise as determined by the technical specialist and Surgeon and Cardiologist
Bring sites independent for procedures, products preparation and support
Follow up on independent implants by providing results, success rate, number and type of implants at the end of every month
Train all relevant members of the salesforce and distributors to an appropriate level of understanding of the therapy, the product and the sales message (where applicable)
Provide appropriate support tools for use in the field (such as case study reports, slides, review of clinical data)
Participate in TMTT Clinical \ Marketing team meetings and company organized training session
Be responsible for the implants activity across the given territory (performance will be measured against predetermined and agreed targets both implants and otherwise)
Closely work with country sales organizations and clinical teams
Preferably educated to degree level or/and good general understanding and knowledge of natural sciences, biology and medicine
Prior experience in sales in the medical field
Experience working in the operating room or cath lab and awareness of how to behave in a sterile environment
Significant knowledge of the interventional cardiology environment
Strong sales and business development skills
High interpersonal and communication skills and leadership with good capabilities to drive customers
Passion for work, strong self-motivation and able to work with a minimum of supervision
Excellent planning and organization skills
Flexible person and able to travel extensively
Fluent in English and the given territory local language
Previous experience in conducting training programs to both physician and support staff is a strong advantage
Used to work in a virtual team environment
