Edwards Lifesciences QA Business Systems Analyst, IT in Kuala Lumpur BSC, Malaysia

The QA Business Systems Analyst, IT (“BSA”) will report into the Customer Relationship Technologies team (remote – based in California) supporting quality assurance, testing, and analytical tasks for a custom developed field sales enablement mobile app, EW1. This role will be the lead quality assurance resource to test and verify functionality on new software releases related to EW1. The BSA will document business processes, write and execute test scripts, and create test automation. Additionally, this role will work with the global EW1 team to build their knowledge and skills with EW1 to contribute to the expansion of EW1 into the JAPAC region.


  • Serve as quality assurance lead for new software releases related to the EW1 custom-built field mobility app

  • Translate business requirements and technical specifications into test plans

  • Test application functionality to specifications using TestRail and provide feedback to software developers and stakeholders

  • Perform comprehensive regression testing to prevent introduction of application defects into Production environments

  • Develop new test automation and maintain existing automation in Zaptest

  • Familiarity with the software development process, the ability to write requirement documents, and test scripts that tie back to the requirements

  • Collaborate with the global EW1 team to expand knowledge of EW1 and related systems

  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, acceptance criteria, user stories, and business cases for enhancements, small to mid-sized projects

  • Lead and/or manage small to mid-sized projects / enhancements

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Up to 10% travel

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, technology or related field is required

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Business Systems Analyst role is required with a Bachelor’s degree

  • Ability to develop and maintain business and technical documentation, e.g. requirements, test scripts, swim lane diagrams, process diagrams, etc

  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

  • Possess and display sound judgment, initiative, flexibility, and detail-orientation

  • Demonstrates creativity to develop and implement innovative solutions and changes

  • Competent in handling multiple tasks with attention to detail, and perform duties with minimal supervision

  • Experience managing small to mid-sized IT enhancements

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to assist with mapping, troubleshooting, and optimizing interfaces for multiple systems

  • Experience with custom-developed software and the software development process

  • Knowledge of SFDC, mobile app testing, Jira, TestRail, Zaptest will be a plus
