Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Data Governance in Kuala Lumpur BSC, Malaysia

Responsible for leading the implementation and execution of a newly designed centralized data management process for Health Care Professional (HCP) and Customer data within the assigned region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and lead the implementation of a central data management and cleansing process for HCP and Customer data and/or support global implementation when applicable (in conjunction with Compliance, IT, Finance and Sales Operations) with appropriate service levels to users

  • Lead the execution of the data management process.

  • Transition and build a team of data analyst and operational data stewards as scope and demand grows once process is implemented

  • Partner with IT as the JAPAC representative to implement a toolset to monitor data integrity across the applications portfolio Provide input in HCP data quality corporate initiative, being the voice of JAPAC users

  • Self-learning, training, adopting best practices through participation in professional communities and user groups

  • Other incidental duties ​

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree + 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree + 6 years of relevant experience required

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to work independently in global matrix organization, where teams are virtual and in different time zones

  • Ability to speak, read and write English and Mandarin with business proficiency. Korean language skills preferred

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time within the JAPAC region especially in early phases of process design and implementation

  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of data governance processes and/or systems

  • High comfort level working in ambiguity, designing and implementing new process in a dynamic environment is critical.

  • Potential to manage a team, provide coaching and feedback, including responsibility for all employee actions including hire/fire authority and partnering with HR on all aspects of employee relations

  • Ability to develop and integrate metrics into the projects and operations that clearly demonstrate the value of data management function to the business

  • Project management experience

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross-functional teams

  • Ability to consult in a project setting

  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
