Edwards Lifesciences Staff Digital Innovation Engineer in Irvine, California
We are looking for a driven engineer who has a project execution mindset and can test plug & play contemporary solutions with speed & agility on Proof of Concept initiatives under the Digital Innovation Lab (DIL). The engineer will showcase their skills on experimental improvisation skillset with a think ahead mindset. The engineer will be a self-learner & self-starter with a penchant for researching the market, scouting for potential solutions, and making go-no-go decisions on technologies and fit.
The engineer will focus on data collection, aggregation, structuring and analytics to support technology enabled business processes improvements in Factory of the Future(FoF), End to End (E2E), Digital Product Transfer (DPT), Master Data Management (MDM) swim lanes while bridging the overall technical gap in Digital Transformation. The engineer will provide expert consultation to strategic technology and system decisions related to business projects. Showcases an overarching goal to cultivate a Digital ecosystem that is scalable, extensible, interoperable, adaptable to the business, and aligned with the strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
Lead the deployment, training, execution, and follow through of fundamental lean and/or Six Sigma programs with subject matter expertise within assigned project(s).
Oversee the reengineering and optimization of business processes and systems using technology solutions. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business processes automation in the area of responsibility.
Sense, Scan & Research for new technologies and experimenting to see fit to existing platforms, business problems & applications thus providing Business Process Innovation from a technology standpoint.
Partner with a business unit and lead/support in the process of blueprinting, building, and iterating on applications and analyses to help solve business biggest problems.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 8 years of hands on experience managing projects of increasing complexity.
Class II and Class III medical device manufacturing experience is a plus.
Proven successful project management skills (e.g., documenting data flows, business processes, power point presentations).
Expert understanding of advanced analytics.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team with experience in project management methodologies.
Interpersonal skills including problem solving, effective communication, conflict and relationship management.
Establishes and manages project plans to ensure deliverables are completed to customer’s expectations.
Must be self-motivated with tangible solid contribution, a calculated assertive risk taker and change agent.
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management tools.
Experience in driving change within a matrixed environment.
Excellent facilitation and time management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change.
Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders.
Must be able to work in a team environment, including serving as consultant to management.
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interact with suppliers, vendors and/or customers.
