Edwards Lifesciences Sr Rep, Accounting (Accounts Payable) in Irvine, California

Provide routine accounting support including the accurate and timely processing of invoices to suppliers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide complex accounting support including data analysis, processing invoices to suppliers and vendors and reconciling balance sheet accounts and other tasks under limited supervision

• Lead, plan, and execute accounting projects (e.g, internal, external, year-end, and SOX audits)

• Resolve complex issues to bring invoices to closure by collaborating with other departments

• Provide coaching and guidance to lower level employees

• May act as lead in absence of manager

• Other incidental duties

Required Education/Experience:

• H.S. Diploma

• Minimum of six years experience (or four years with a Masters) working in Accounts Payable

• Experience with Excel VLOOKUP

Preferred Experience:

• College Degree

Additional Expectations:

• Excellent computer skills including usage of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP application; preferably JDE

• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills including the ability to convey instructions and training, and effectively persuade to drive achievement of objectives

• Able to read, comprehend, write and speak English

• Experience with basic project management preferred

• Substantial knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and requirements in Accounting

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion

• Attention to detail

• Knowledge of and adherence to EW policies and procedures

• Must be able to work in a team environment under general supervision and with instructions for routine work

• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills including the ability to convey instructions and training, and effectively persuade to drive achievement of objectives

• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
