Edwards’ HR Technology team is embarking on an exciting multi-year journey to transform and enhance our current HR technology landscape. We are looking for a smart, consultative, enthusiastic leader to help guide us through this journey. The ideal candidate will thrive working in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. As the Sr. Manager, HRIS, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading a number of different HR technology initiatives. These projects are global in nature, and require alignment with IT and other business units and/or functions outside of HR. This role will be responsible for not only coordinating various project management activities, but will also be tasked with leading the organizational change management efforts that are required when rolling out each initiative.
Lead and own project work, system updates/enhancements, and support activities. This includes managing a project budget, detailed scope and requirements, resource plans, project schedules, risk management plans, decision/issue logs, acquiring resources, software release planning, and defining deliverables. Escalate critical risks, changes, or delays to the project sponsor and HR leadership as needed. Facilitate clear and concise status updates for key project stakeholders including direct communications with project sponsors and steering committees
Coordinate the gathering of user requirements by working with user groups to resolve issues, assess user needs, and recommend changes that improve productivity and efficiencies within existing applications. Coordinate the analysis of business requirements, including the identification of business objectives, use cases and business rules. Leverage the user requirements and feedback gathered from stakeholders identify and document the functional requirements necessary to address business objectives, use cases and business rules. When needed develop process flows and to support business requirements and drive stakeholder alignment.
Facilitate ongoing process optimization sessions with global HR SMEs to further enhance HR’s technology enablement strategy. Use outputs from these sessions to design future-state phases for HR system enhancements and work with leadership to build said phases into the overall HR technology roadmap
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, communications, information systems, HRIS, or a related field
12+ years of experience leading technical projects and programs in an HRIS capacity
2+ years of Workday experience with proven expertise in deploying and/or enhancing the system enterprise wide
Expert program management and consulting skills, including excellent verbal and written communications.
Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Clarizon, etc.)
Proven expertise with Microsoft Office productivity tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
Master's degree (10+ years of experience stated above is required with a Master’s degree.)
2+ years of experience with ServiceNow with an emphasis in HR service delivery
5+ years of technology consulting experience
Agile Scrum Methodology experience
Healthcare, Medical Device or Pharma industry experience
Experience driving solutions with senior leadership
Strong business acumen and experience managing multiple stakeholders within complex matrixed organization
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; strict attention to detail
Ability to manage internal and external confidential information with utmost discretion
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to influence and achieve objectives
Ability to provide feedback in a professional, direct, and tactful manner
