Edwards Lifesciences Software Quality Intern – Cybersecurity in Irvine, California
As a Software Quality Intern in Cybersecurity, you will actively participate in identifying and assessing cybersecurity risks for various Edwards software product monitoring platforms, establishing cybersecurity metrics, and converting manual processes into electronic solution processes. In addition to this, the candidate will be responsible for collaborating cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders (R&D, Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, etc.) to ensure directives are successfully met.
Actively participate in and/or facilitate the cybersecurity risk assessment process
Have a basic understanding of cybersecurity risks and their relationship to the overall Edwards Software Development and Product Lifecycle
Establish cybersecurity Quality metrics based on penetration test results and SAST/SCA reports
Update and/or create cybersecurity instructions, templates, and product cybersecurity documentation as needed
Partner with Product Security team to evaluate risk mitigations and recommend improvements during Software Design and Development
Support other initiatives, such as reporting cybersecurity risks to management and other relevant activities as needed
Basic MS Office Suite skills
Basic documentation, communication (e.g., written and verbal), and interpersonal relationship skills
Good problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work in a team environment

Education and Experience:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology (strong preference for Cybersecurity or Networking Technology disciplines, but not required)
To qualify for internship opportunities, candidates must be:
Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University
Enrolled a Bachelor’s or Master’s program for the entire duration of their internship, graduating December 2021 or later. Upon graduating, students are no longer eligible for an internship at Edwards.
Available for an assignment for a minimum of 10 weeks.
In good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.
