Edwards Lifesciences Software Quality Engineer - Forecasted Opportunities in Irvine, California

This position has been posted in anticipation for future openings within our Quality team for Software Quality Engineers. We anticipate hiring at the Senior through Principle level. Software Quality Engineers will be generally supporting and/or leading facets of quality engineering through all stages of software product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Provide guidance and represent software quality engineering in cross-functional review meetings including design review, operations change review, post market surveillance review, and cybersecurity review.

  • Develop complex software documentation for product or non-product software validation deliverables utilizing engineering knowledge and support regulatory submissions as needed.

  • Develop, update, and maintain technical contents of risk management files (Software Risk Analysis, Cybersecurity Risk Analysis) and software Design History Files (DHF).

  • Update and maintain security policies and procedures to meet relevant industry standards and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, HITRUST, etc.)

  • Perform other quality related duties as assigned by management.

Education and Minimum Requirements:

  • To be considered for this talent community, it is required that you have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Scientific, Computer Sciences, or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 4 years of applicable experience or a Master's degree or equivalent in in Engineering or Scientific field and a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience.

  • Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industry.
