Senior Financial Analyst, Treasury
Edwards Lifesciences is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst in Treasury to support the capital markets teams in Irvine. The person will be responsible for supporting the team in managing foreign exchange programs, interest rate risk, investments, and the share repurchase program.
Responsible for supporting the hedging programs from gathering exposures, validating data, entering trades, trade settlement, monitoring risk, and reporting.
Maintain performance benchmarks and reporting on hedge effectiveness, P&L and cash flow impact.
Analyze data for monthly, quarterly and annual FX, investment, debt, and share repurchase reporting.
Assist in the preparation of reporting to financial risk committee and the audit committee.
Analyze and provide compliance deliverables from internal/external auditors and ensure adherence to external regulatory requirements (Dodd Frank, EMIR, MIFID).
Collaborate cross functionally with tax, accounting, FP&A, investor relations, legal, and business units.
Identify and review financial risk related transactions including assessing trading counterparty risk.
Provide management decision support through ad hoc reporting and analysis.
Drive automation and system/process improvement projects
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics is required
CTP or MBA a plus
Experience with JD Edwards and Kyriba preferred
5 years of relevant experience is required
Experience in cash management, investments, foreign exchange, or treasury operations
Experience with large ERP systems (JDE experience is a plus); general proficiency using financial systems and related tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills; ability to propose creative solutions to problems.
Detail-orientation, flexibility, with high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of management. Ability to develop solid rapport with internal customers.
Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel (including pivot tables, advanced functions, importing data from external sources), Access, PowerPoint
Proactive, self-motivated, with ability to work independently
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment and to adapt quickly to change is essential.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and work effectively in a matrix organization
