Edwards Lifesciences Senior Program Manager (Supply Chain IT/PLM) in Irvine, California

As a Senior Program Manager at Edwards, you play a critical role in our ability to deliver devices that maximize our patient’s recovery and quality of life. You ensure the ultimate success of IT programs by partnering with project and/or program managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations.

We are in a high growth phase - the ideal candidate will be hands-on with global implementation-related projects and help drive our strategy forward through execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executes program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and captures and communicate program status and data to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders

  • Manages strategic to enterprise-wide projects within program

  • Serves as a subject matter expert in project and program management, including guiding and mentoring project managers; sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develops expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market, or product

  • Develops a high-level milestone plan for the program and manages program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts

  • Establishes and maintains program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization

  • Facilitates the creation and approval of business cases within the program, and coordinates the sharing of resources among projects

  • In partnership with the IT business partner, obtains approval for the program and then actively manages program benefits and issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work onsite in Irvine at least two days per week

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or technical field

  • 12+ years‘ experience managing large-to-midsize projects of increasing complexity

  • 3+ years’ experience managing programs

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering transformative technology projects in the supply chain or product lifecycle management space (automation, software selection, digitization, etc.)

  • Experience in delivering projects that span different regions (global rollouts)

  • Extensive background with project and program management processes, techniques, and methodologies

  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

  •  Experience within a regulated environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

  • Strong documentation and communication skills

  • Ability to proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Strong understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management

  • Ability to lead others amid ambiguity

  • Ability to influence others without having direct authority over them

  • Ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent
