As a Senior Program Manager at Edwards, you play a critical role in our ability to deliver devices that maximize our patient’s recovery and quality of life. You ensure the ultimate success of IT programs by partnering with project and/or program managers to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations.
We are in a high growth phase - the ideal candidate will be hands-on with global implementation-related projects and help drive our strategy forward through execution.
Executes program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and captures and communicate program status and data to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders
Manages strategic to enterprise-wide projects within program
Serves as a subject matter expert in project and program management, including guiding and mentoring project managers; sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develops expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market, or product
Develops a high-level milestone plan for the program and manages program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts
Establishes and maintains program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization
Facilitates the creation and approval of business cases within the program, and coordinates the sharing of resources among projects
In partnership with the IT business partner, obtains approval for the program and then actively manages program benefits and issues
Ability to work onsite in Irvine at least two days per week
Bachelor's Degree in business or technical field
12+ years‘ experience managing large-to-midsize projects of increasing complexity
3+ years’ experience managing programs
Demonstrable experience in delivering transformative technology projects in the supply chain or product lifecycle management space (automation, software selection, digitization, etc.)
Experience in delivering projects that span different regions (global rollouts)
Extensive background with project and program management processes, techniques, and methodologies
Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders
Experience within a regulated environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
Strong understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management
Ability to lead others amid ambiguity
Ability to influence others without having direct authority over them
Ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders
