Edwards Lifesciences Senior Program Manager (Medical device product development - Scrum Master) in Irvine, California
Lead a cross-functional team of subject matter experts on complex product development programs for the cardiac medical device space.
Program objectives are accomplished through coordination and collaboration with individual contributors who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
Plan and execute new product development projects utilizing project management methodology and the Scrum framework from concept to launch.
Directly supervises a team of cross-functional related disciplines, which may include Sr. Managers, Managers, and Specialists.
Focus on managing performance, developing talent, engagement and inclusion, communicating business and operational developments, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of direct and indirect reports.
Establishes and maintains program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization.
Reviews status of projects, budgets, and resources; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
Owns one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities.
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and business-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving.
Gathers requirements, works on requirements planning, requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of project’s key stakeholders.
Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will meet business objectives.
Assists with developing the strategy for the Program Management function. Drives continuous improvement of the strategic project management process and support processes.
Frequently communicates with leadership team.

Leads with high ethical standards.
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Neuroscience, Biology, Biotechnology, medicine, Pharmaceutical Science or Project Management field
• A minimum of seven years of hands on experience managing large to midsize new product development projects
• Medical device or Healthcare Product experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
• Master's Degree or equivalent
• Program Management Professional (PgMP)
• Scrum Master certification
