Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships - Transcatheter Heart Valve in Irvine, California
This is an exciting opportunity within a company that leads the heart valve market not only in terms of market share but also in cutting edge technology. The Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) team extends Edwards’ leadership into the transcatheter area, providing immediate new treatment alternatives to patients with no or few other alternatives, eventually positioning THV as the treatment of choice for aortic stenosis.
In this role, you would lead the reinforcement and execution of a premium pricing strategy by managing business tactics tied to relationships with key Clinical and Administrative decision makers, and creating new opportunities for partnerships. In addition you would develop and manage a pro-active contract negotiating process.
Develop and plan sales projects and activities as it relates to pro-active contract negotiations and business relationship, including efforts to drive multiple procedural efficiencies and improved clinical outcomes with accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables
Provide direction and guidance to cross-functional teams to drive multiple program and procedural efficiencies and cost savings in collaboration with strategic customers
Identify risk, develop and lead in the implementation of sales strategies in partnership with sales leaders and key strategic customers which may include negotiations with internal and external parties
Provide insights on real-time view on state of strategic customers from qualitative and quantitative data/information while anticipating problems and seek new approaches for resolution
Articulate and present business dynamics to senior leadership and stakeholders (e.g., sales team; cross-functional teams) including providing alternative solutions
Other duties assigned by Leadership (e.g., Support strategic initiatives, business management exercises)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in related field with 12 years or Master's degree in related field with 10years of previous related experience in medical device sales, sales management, marketing, or general management required
Ability to manage business planning activities and reviews with customer base, field sales and support organizations and Edwards counterparts
Demonstrated ability to influence management with key provider decision makers
Proven successful project management skills
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Recognized as an expert in own sub-function(s) and/or area(s) within the organization with broad-based advanced knowledge within the organization
Expert knowledge of IDN/Hospital System structures and dynamics, including clinical committees, service line, strategic sourcing, and hospital executives/C-suite
Expert knowledge of healthcare policies and regulating bodies with ability to inform others
Expert knowledge and understanding of business concepts and issues, complex market issues, organization dynamics, competitive threats and intra-company differences
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
