Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager, Program Management – Digital PLM PMO in Irvine, California
This is an exciting role to join the Global Supply Chain PMO team to manage strategic enterprise-wide programs and/or portfolios. The Senior Manager will facilitate the creation and approval of complex business cases within the Digital Transformation (NPI/NPD, Supply Chain, and/or manufacturing) area, and coordinates the sharing of resources among projects. The Senior Manager will be responsible for executing the digital roadmap and long-term execution plan in partnership with business stakeholders that will align and transform our Product Development Process (PDP) with standardized/optimized processes with underlying enabling technologies.
Essential job functions:
Develop a high-level intergraded milestone plan for the program/projects and manages program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts.
Execute program/project plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and captures and communicate program status and data in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders.
Obtain approval for the program/project and actively manage benefits and issues in partnership with business partner.
Source and direct contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develop expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product
Optimize resource allocation of portfolio in partnership with functional leaders across divisions/site.
Own one or more Project Management Office (PMO) continuous improvement activities.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of hands-on experience managing midsize to large projects/program of increasingly complexity.
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Innovation software required (i.e. Siemens, PTC, Oracle Agile, etc.).
Advanced degree or PMP certification is preferred.
NPI/NPD experience with familiarity with product development within medical device is strongly preferred.
Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management.
Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing multiple projects and charting the course of overall programs (portfolio).
Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems.
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders.
