Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager, Organizational Effectiveness & Innovation in Irvine, California
Edwards is looking for a Senior Manager to join our Organizational Effectiveness & Innovation team. Our Organizational Effectiveness team is a tight knit, internal consulting team responsible for running multiple concurrent projects across Edwards. This is an exciting opportunity to have a significant impact to a wide variety of functional areas within our billion-dollar global organization.
Our ideal candidate possesses a consulting Product Lifecycle Management background and domain expertise in either R&D or Supply Chain. This role will lead teams using agile and digital solutions to address the people factors affecting an organizations’ ability to deliver on digital transformation strategy and initiatives. Our projects are high-profile and fast paced to support our innovative teams and patient focused culture.
Our vision for this role:
Consult on enterprise wide Digital Transformations, high impact business initiatives, with a focus on the people impact, to ensure work is optimized for innovation
Translate business needs into enabling Org Designs, Talent and Org Strategies and Operating Models
Manage the people side transformation strategy, plan, and workstreams
Lead and contribute to Digital Transformation capability development efforts
Partner with the business to build strategic workforce plans helping to enable Edwards for rapid growth
Lead strategic change management efforts – be the “champion of change”
Lead cross-functional process improvement & refinement to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of processes
Drive organizational assessments and development at the company, functional, and team level
Facilitate the creation of Talent and Org Strategies
Lead Strategic Workforce Planning efforts for critical functions
Consult to senior leadership on people impact of strategic or tactical decisions
Lead “people” side of merger integrations
Assess and deliver strategic workforce plans to business units, functions and regions
Consult within HR to deliver continued maturity in HR analytics and reporting
Perform and facilitate business process analysis and improvement activities
Drive “change management” knowledge and capabilities into the organization
Consult to the organization at the company, functional, and team level to identify and manage team alignment and effectiveness projects
Conduct organizational assessments and needs assessments, develop recommendations, and implement solutions that drive improved employee productivity
Lead organizational design efforts at the business unit, region, site, and function levels
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
12+ years of experience using and/or developing OE tools and methodologies, including change management approaches, team alignment processes, organizational assessment methodologies, communications strategies and tactics, and team and personal work profile assessments
8+ years of consulting experience
5+ years of Product Lifecycle Management Digital Transformation experience (e.g. PTC/Dassault/Siemens/SAP)
Extensive program / project management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills are essential
Experience managing complex organizations with multiple stakeholders, with ability to demonstrate ROI and value propositions
Willing and able to travel 25% internationally
MS or MBA
Process improvement methodology experience
Merger and acquisitions experience
Product commercialization experience
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Strong business acumen, understanding of the business as the foundation for driving productivity through people
