Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager, HR Program Management in Irvine, California

We are looking for a Senior HR Manager, Program Management to join our growing Human Resources team. This role will oversee the coordination, deployment and implementation of assigned projects/programs from conception to completion in collaboration with functional departments to successfully develop and assure implementation, definition and diffusion of objectives, strategies, actions (tactics) plans, and its execution.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage strategic to enterprise-wide HR programs and/or portfolios

  • Facilitate the creation and approval of complex business cases within the program, and coordinates the sharing of resources among projects

  • Establish, maintain, and influence program stakeholder relationships, expectations, and communications, both internal and external to the organization

  • Maintain a high-level intergraded milestone plan for the program and manage program change in accordance with the change management plan to control scope, quality, schedule, cost, and contracts

  • Execute program plans (quality, risk, communication, staffing, etc.) and communicate program status and data in order to maintain accurate and current program information for the use of stakeholders

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in project and program management, including guiding and mentoring project managers; sourcing and directing contract resources tied to projects within the program; and develop expertise in a business process, professional discipline, market or product

  • Optimize resource allocation of portfolio in partnership with functional leaders across divisions/site

  • Execute deliverables aligned with the organizational change strategy – change plans, integration interventions, adoption and effectiveness measurement, communication and training plans, etc.

  • Serve as lead HR resource for the organizational transformation, partnering with leadership to ensure alignment around success measures, develop HR project plan and timelines, and ensure implementation of transformation activities in the HR space.

  • Lead the post-implementation of new organizational design, including ensuring that structure, processes, roles descriptions and career paths are aligned with initiative goals.

  • Provide organizational readiness support and develop a reputation as a highly respected and trusted business advisor within the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited institution

  • 12 Years of hands on experience managing large to midsize project

and/or programs of increasing complexity

Required Skills:

  • Proven expertise in usage of MS Office Suite and related project management systems

  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Expert understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to managing multiple projects and charting the course of overall programs (portfolio)

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent understanding and work experience with project budgets and financial management

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to influence change

  • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with management and executive stakeholders

  • Experience within a regulated environment

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including interactions with higher, equivalent and lower level internal and external representatives concerning projects, area decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or driving contractual clarifications

  • Ability to lead meetings with external representatives

  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ Degree

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certifications

  • Green belt or Black belt or Scrum Master certification
