Edwards Lifesciences Senior Manager, Digital Transformation – Supplier Management in Irvine, California
This is a great opportunity to join Edwards Lifesciences as a Senior Manager, Supplier Management in our Digital Transformation team. The Senior Manager will be a strategic functional leader who will lead the Digital Transformation of Supplier Management functions such as:
Supplier Management/Strategic Sourcing (Direct & Indirect Regulated Materials)
Contract Manufacturing Supplier Management (Finished Goods)
Procure to Pay (transactional) – Direct Materials
The Senior Manager will oversee the implementation & support of best practices in these areas. The process leader will bring together best practices, benchmarks from the industry and work with various levels within Operations & Quality leadership to align the strategies and lead the process transformation at Edwards to be world class within and in support of the Supplier Management function.
Essential Job Respon sibilities:
Partner with Global Supply Chain senior management to identify and deliver digital capabilities that have the highest business impact across the Supplier Management function.
Be the primary Digital Point of contact & lead the planning & delivery of Supplier Management digital capabilities and services in support of each of the functions ’s strategy realization.
Digitally Enhance the Design to Pay process. Some examples of projects being considered over the next few years include
Source to Contract: ECLM (Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management)
Procure to Pay: Automate the P2P process to increase compliance, visibility & shorten cycle time (e.g. Electronic Purchase Order workflow in JDE/webapp, MRP)
Supplier Collaboration : Leverage Supplier Collaboration tools to drive innovation & performance (e.g. Master & Transaction data via JDE Supplier Portal)
Supplier Performance : Supplier Scorecard (Delivery, Quality, Invoicing accuracy etc.) in QlikView
Spend Management/Spend Analytics
Supplier Quality Management System (SQMS)
Supplier Master *
Supplier Risk Management
Be part of Supplier Council
Act as an Internal Consultant for Supplier Management strategy development & execution
Develop/execute/lead enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including projects to reduce supplier risk, improve supplier quality, reduce procurement cost, make/buy initiatives etc.
Accountable for the full Value Stream and expert at understanding how data interacts between various Supply Chain systems
A minimum of Twelve years' of progressively responsible experience leading activities in Supplier Management, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Contracting, or related Digital functional areas, and project and/or change management experience.
Project and/or change management experience in managing, leading, and implementing eProcurement or related systems.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strategic consultative mindset.
Medical device industry experience will be a plus.
ISM or similar certifications in Procurement & Sourcing.
Experience with JDE and industry leading Supplier Collaboration tools is a plus.
Demonstrated competency in execution of multiple large projects simultaneously.
Strong data manipulation and database management skills as well as spreadsheet and analytical skills.
Strong collaboration, delegation and interpersonal communication skills.
Provides specialized expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures to meet users' needs.
Strong organizational, client service, and interpersonal skills required to work with a wide variety of internal customers.
Will require some travel (10%).
