Edwards Lifesciences Senior Financial Analyst - Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies in Irvine, California

The Senior Financial Analyst role is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional Finance professional with significant experience to join a team that is boldly designing transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies from the ground up. TMTT Business Unit is dedicated to solving the complex challenges of mitral and tricuspid disease in order to transform treatment and significantly improve patients’ lives. This highly dynamic position will support TMTT’s global consolidation, preparation of executive presentations and business analyses, system and process improvement projects, and financial planning and month-end activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform consolidation and analysis of global P&L, headcount, and CAPEX.

  • Prepare TMTT standard reports, templates, and executive presentations to meet business unit and Corporate deliverables

  • Provide insightful variance analysis and scenario analysis to support management decisions

  • TMTT lead for headcount and fixed asset review, reporting, and analysis

  • Partner with G&A teams and assume role as Quality liaison

  • Prepare Strategic Plan, Annual Operating Plan, and monthly forecasts

  • Manage month-end close activities and provide reporting, budget/forecast variance analysis, and commentary on timely basis

  • Manage cost center headcount and expenses to align with annual targets

  • Implement and administer TMTT Strategic Planning application

  • Drive automation and system/process improvement projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics is required

  • Minimum of five years (or three years with a Masters) of Accounting or Finance is required

  • General Ledger, financial reporting, and planning systems experiences required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA, CMA or MBA a plus

  • JD Edwards and Hyperion preferred

Additional Expectations:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with all levels of management

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills and strong system aptitude

  • Experience in a fast-paced dynamic work environment

  • Ability to develop solid rapport with internal customers

  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrated ability to propose creative solutions to problems

  • Proactive, self-motivated, with ability to work independently
