Edwards Lifesciences Senior Financial Analyst (Sales data - trend analysis, large data loading) in Irvine, California

Edwards Lifesciences is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst, Finance to support our $800+ million Global Surgical Structural Heart (Surgical) business unit. This position is an integral part of the Surgical Finance team in Irvine, supporting Surgical Global P&L reporting and analysis, as well as, Global Sales consolidation and reporting. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build strong and trusting business partner relationship and a high level of interest in learning about the Surgical business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Global P&L reporting and analysis

  • Consolidate, analyze, and report month-end financial results by region. Coordinate and partner with region finance teams to understand growth assumptions and variances.

  • Support financial consolidation of monthly forecast, annual operating plan, and strategic plan submissions.

  • Provide new product monthly reporting and other ad hoc requests to support management reporting.

  • Partner with Surgical business analytics center of excellence to provide management decision support, through routine reporting and ad hoc analysis.

  • Contribute to the development of meaningful management presentations to communicate financial results, recommendations, and insights.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes to increase efficiency.

  • Support FinanceADVANCE initiatives and ad hoc projects, as needed.

  • Global Sales reporting and analysis

  • Compile global sales data and load details into database for monthly forecasts, quarterly actuals, annual operating plan, and strategic plan.

  • Coordinate sales database administration needs with the Global Financial System team.

  • Maintain region input templates, reporting, and system support for quarterly earnings, annual operating plan, and strategic plan submissions.

  • Prepare and analyze global sales results for quarterly earnings preparation process and corporate reporting packages.

  • Support Global Surgical Daily Net Sales report by being in coordination with IT team.

Required Education / Skills / Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.

  • Minimum of five years of Accounting/Finance experience (three years with MBA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Systems database experience.

  • Oracle EPBCS, SAP BPC and HFM system experience.

  • MBA/CPA/CMA a plus.

Additional Talents and General Expectations:

  • Advanced Excel modeling & database management skills. Experience with managing large amounts of data in a system database.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to develop strong business relationships.

  • High degree of accuracy and efficiency. Proven ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in an environment with competing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently. Proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented, with an aptitude for problem solving and strong process improvement mindset.

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.

  • Knowledge of business analytics software (Tableau, Alteryx) strongly preferred.
