Edwards Lifesciences Senior Analyst Supply Chain (Buying) in Irvine, California

Role Purpose:

Ensure attainment of build schedules for R&D and clinical builds, by working with project teams, planners, suppliers and Engineering teams.

Job Functions:

  • Ensure attainment of required build schedules for R&D and clinical, per MPS, through:

  • Creating a material requirement plan

  • Creating and keeping up to date, forecast for suppliers to ensure attainment to current build schedule

  • Works with new and strategic vendors to ensure delivery, quality, cost, technical and services capabilities to meet Edwards requirements.

  • Identify and solve complex issues in supply chain. Including leadership skill to bring multi-functional teams together to assess and resolve each situation: internally and externally (vendors).

  • Able to create capacity analysis and determine actions to ensure supplier has enough capacity for R&D and product launch requirements.

  • Represents the supply chain team at Project meetings: communicates requirements from PILOT to project and from projects back to the PILOT supply chain team.

  • Able to present information at meetings with management (i.e.: PILOT deep dives, planning meetings).

  • Develop and perform detailed and complex analysis to improve supply chain operations.

  • Create and maintain processes and procedures (SOP, work instructions).

  • Identify & support action plans to minimize Excess & Obsolete Inventory

Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of five years of experience in Supply Chain Buying

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working in ERP systems, preferable JDE a plus

  • Advanced skills in data analysis utilizing MS Excel, QlikView experience is an asset

  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems

  • Strong analytical and statistical skills

  • Adaptability — Ability to react to change in an efficient manner

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Result oriented.

  • Prioritization — Ability to establish a hierarchy of importance to a number of tasks or needs and to organize work accordingly.

  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects and vendors/suppliers

  • Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry preferred
