Edwards Lifesciences Senior Analyst, Master Data Management in Irvine, California

Position Overview:

Partner with stakeholders to establish the single source of truth and govern data quality for Product and Supplier Master Data by data standardization, data automation, data clean up, and data quality/monitoring.

  • Provide guidance to business / functional data stewards to ensure alignment on MDM, data projects and data quality/monitoring efforts1.

  • Lead the execution of MDM related projects – data wrangling, data clean up, system enhancements by engaging key stakeholders, data stewards, and IT partners

  • Maintain data policies, standards and processes, data definitions, ownership, and quality rules

  • Monitor quality of content and make sure that quality issues are identified, documented, and prioritized.

  • Provide training and coaching to other data stewards - Train content contributors to follow good data-entry and management processes.

  • Other incidental duties

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in metadata / data governance / Stewardship / Data Quality related work or similar.

  • Ability to learn new concepts and software quickly

  • Analytical approach to problem-solving; ability to use technology to solve business problems

  • Familiarity with database-centric applications

  • Knowledge of Data Governance stack including:

  • Knowledge of Master Data Management:

• Domain / Entity Definition

• Golden Records / Single Source of Truth

• Data Enrichment

• Data Matching / Duplication

  • Experience in project management, documenting data flows, business processes, power point presentations

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to speak to varying levels across the organization

  • Experience working in a medical device and/or regulated industry preferred

  • Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
