Edwards Lifesciences Senior Analyst, Financial Application Production Support in Irvine, California
Responsible for participating in the functional and technical configuration including overall system administration and maintenance of the Global Finance applications. Qualified candidate will primarily drive production support efforts to maintain maximum performance, uptime, and reliability of applications and systems including contributing on small enhancements break-fixes. Qualified candidate will have the ability to balance multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while supporting an environment that motivates, inspires, and respects others. This position requires high organization and planning skills, along with an eye for detail. The candidate must possess strong communication skills and have the ability to work both independently and within a team. This position will report into the Manager Global Finance, Business Process Innovation and Technology Strategy (BPI-TS), Finance Systems
Perform System Administration activities such Pre-Close, Financial Close, and Post Close Activities as well as Quarter End, Year End Close Activities, Forecast/Plan Prep and Forecast/Plan Submission Activities.
Monitor execution of automated system admin activities. Manage User Provisioning, Security Groups, and Distribution lists, perform Support Quarterly Security Audits
Provide general end-user Support, manage, troubleshoot and resolve open Incident tickets, user help desk tickets, and fulfill service requests for geographically distributed user-base
Provide first-level support during system outages & disruptions. Escalate to second-level support as needed.
Integration support (Inbound/ Outbound), Data support and modifications. Support Batch scripts and data transformations. Escalate to second-level support as needed.
Support the regular software system maintenance activities and upgrade cycles in dev and prod environments, support during monthly operating system and Server Patches & upgrades in DEV and PRD, perform general system Housekeeping (data retention, DB restructures, restart services)
Serve as liaison between business process owners in Business Units, Functional Groups, Regions and IT. Enable super-users (by training and performing knowledge transfer) to drive business process automation and optimization
Facilitate process mapping and requirements gathering sessions for minor enhancements and break-fixes. Understand and document current state of business processes, including data flows
Support efforts to optimize business processes and systems by assessing business needs and developing, proposing and lead sessions for minor enhancements and break-fixes.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in business processes in area of responsibility
Providing production support, functional configuration support, and system administration support in one or more than one of the systems: HFM, BlackLine, BPC, Planning Applications such as Oracle EPBCS, Concur, OneStream, JDE, Coupa, and WorkDay
A minimum of five years experience in financial application support (Or three years with a Masters)
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, Technology, Information Systems
Experience in providing production support, functional configuration support, and system administration support in one or more than one of the systems: HFM, BlackLine, BPC, Planning Applications such as Oracle EPBCS, Concur, OneStream, JDE, Coupa, and WorkDay
Prior experience using ServiceNow or Cherwell
Experience working in a large manufacturing company
Experience working in an agile delivery environment
Knowledge of Amazon and Azure Cloud partners
Business and functional knowledge of Finance Planning and Consolidation System
Related platform certification
Stay current with latest platform features
Knowledge of SaaS and vendor hosted systems and implementations, with experience in implementing and supporting Cloud based systems required
Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Expert understanding of system administration procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines
Ability to understand business needs across functional areas and apply industry trends, products and solutions to solve business problems
