Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Organizational Development in Irvine, California
Edwards Lifesciences continues to experience accelerated growth. As a successful team member of the Global Supply Chain HR Organizational Effectiveness/Organizational Development Corporate Services organization, the Organizational Development Manager will interact with the front line team members as well as C-suite. Reporting to the HR Director, the OD Manager will contribute to a global team responsible for creating, enhancing and sustaining agile OD Programs for all frontline, leadership, and executive team members across GSC worldwide. The OD Manager will be providing oversight for site-level OD function in driving change and culture while managing learning and solutions for employees, as well as providing thought leadership for the continued growth and evolution of this OD Manager role.
Envisioning, designing and delivering an overarching learning and development strategy to enable growth and development required to deliver GSC core business goals and objectives.
Building a framework for driving change and developmental opportunities within the GSC organization.
Sustaining and evolving the learning and development programs that drives talent development and knowledge transfer.
Building out a global infrastructure of tools and technologies (e.g. content, curriculum, portals etc.) for GSC
Drive HR and OE initiatives that include the following:
Organizational Change Management, OE and L&D Program execution; Talent Management Planning & Program Management (e.g. TDR, Perf Review); Training Needs Assessment, Delivery & Facilitation; Post-training Reinforcement, Career Development Program Management, New Employee Assimilation Design & Delivery; Training Plan Owner; Knowledge Transfer Process Owner; ROI on Learning Owner; HR Communications
Facilitating business conversations for both small and large groups and consult with management and employees about organizational issues.
Contracting with clients to clarify and create agreements about initiative goals, expectations, and processes.
Coaching managers, teams, and executives.
Building and maintaining positive and trusting relationships with people at all levels of the organization and with diverse points of view.
Applying fundamental theories at the heart of OD work, including theories that address systems, change management, learning, group process, and performance.
Communicating theoretical and conceptual information to clients to stakeholders.
Gathering accurate and thorough information with OD assessment tools.
Analyzing and redesigning organization processes and structures.
Linking OD initiatives to broader corporate goals and measure initiative progress and success.
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in HR/OD function of a large global enterprise is required
Experience in Group process and facilitation skills, consulting, coaching, analyzing, the organization, and managing change.
Experience in a business services enterprise.
Experience deploying global programs/projects that drive change and organizational effectiveness.
Experience and knowledge of core organizational development and learning principals and best practices in driving knowledge transfer and change.
Program management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan projects and deliver on commitments within budget.
Highly self-directed with the ability to take initiative.
Strong network and experience shaping culture and driving employee engagement.
OD leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to attract, retain and develop internal talent.
Experience with quality improvement principals including Total Quality and/or 6-sigma Management frameworks an asset.
Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
Ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally in a highly distributed global environment.
Vendor selection and vendor relationship management.
Proven superior negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Master’s degree with 8+ years or experience in HR/OD function of a large global enterprise.
OD and Master Trainer Certifications in Partners in Leadership, Covey, Korn Ferry, MBTI, DISC, Prosci, ICF, Project Management is highly preferred.
Ability to speak and write other languages is a plus (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.).
