Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Global Talent Management & Learning - Human Resources in Irvine, California
The Global Talent Management & Learning Segment Leader for Human Resources will be the architect for assessing, developing, overseeing implementation and evaluating talent development initiatives and programs for the Human Resources talent population. This will include a strong near-term focus on supporting talent development needs and priorities for the HR Solutions team, a new HR shared services function for Edwards employees around the globe, and will then evolve to supporting talent development opportunities throughout the entire global HR population.
This position creates pro-active and responsive L & D solutions while seizing opportunities for continuous improvement in individual, team and organizational performance. In particular, there will be a heightened focus on the future capabilities and skill sets seen as critical for Human Resources moving forward. This position reports to the Director, Global Talent Development.
Conduct learning needs assessments and develop recommendations, solutions, programs and curriculum that will increase the capability of employees and the Human Resources organization to perform effectively and efficiently, now and in the future.
Create training plans and development curriculum for the new global HR Solutions function. This would be a more immediate focus and requirement for this role.
Bring an outside-in perspective and expertise founded on market intelligence for HR.
Assess trends and anticipate future use of subject matter experts, external partners and development programs by proposing best in class practices.
Evaluate current and future talent development programs for application and implementation within the Human Resources talent population.
Leverage leading practices, future trends, and innovative solutions to design, sustain and maintain programs
Execute against the global talent management and learning strategy utilizing a deep understanding of current HR practices, current capabilities and future needs.
Consult and partner closely with HR senior leaders, HR Solutions and HR Technology to prioritize, design, develop, and oversee the implementation of strategic talent development curriculum and plans.
Partner with HR subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders to define end-user requirements for technical, professional and soft skill development programs.
Design effective audience-specific sessions targeted to the various learning styles of professional and higher-level employees. These sessions will be focused on the integration of instructor-led, multimedia visual aids, online web-based programs, educational materials, and action learning.
Assess, evaluate, and refine program design using data & analytics to support continuous improvement of programs
Partner with HR Leadership Team to identify key success metrics for HR talent development programs. Partner with HR Business Partners to leverage Talent Development Reviews and performance management processes and tools in order to build effective development curriculum and plans.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field with 10 years of experience.
Education or prior work experience in the field of Human Resources
Ability to articulate program objectives, activities, and policies by aligning HR strategic goals and vision to business needs
Knowledge of HR principles, theories and concepts
Proven project management skills.
Strong understanding of related aspects of learning and development processes and systems.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Influencing and relationship management skills required.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to perform in an environment of change and ambiguity.
Ability to perform and interpret needs analyses and translate the findings into actionable plans.
Strong business acumen with the understanding of the business as the foundation for driving productivity through people.
Strong experience in driving and handling projects through managing multiple stakeholders as well as having good experience in demonstrating ROI and value propositions.
Up to 10% travel.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field with 8 years of experience.
