Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Digital Strategy - Supplier Management in Irvine, California
This is an exciting opportunity to be a Manager, Digital Transformation in Supplier Management. The Manager will be the point of contact for Digital Transformation for functions related to Suppliers such as:
Supplier Management/Strategic Sourcing (Direct & Indirect Regulated Materials)
Contract Manufacturing Supplier Management (Finished Goods)
Purchasing Execution (transactional)
This Manager will oversee the implementation & support of best practices in these areas. The process leader will bring together best practices, benchmarks from the industry and work with various levels within Operations & Quality leadership to align the strategies and lead the process transformation at Edwards to be world class within and in support of the Supplier Management function.
Essential Job Respon sibilities:
Partner with Global Supply Chain senior management to identify and deliver digital capabilities that have the highest business impact across the Supplier Management function.
Primary Digital Point of contact & lead the planning & delivery of Supplier Management digital capabilities and services in support of each of the functions ’s strategy realization.
Lead projects around to Digitally Enhance the Design to Pay process. Some examples of projects being considered over the next few years include
Source to Contract: ECLM (Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management)
Procure to Pay: Automate the P2P process to increase compliance, visibility & shorten cycle time (e.g. Electronic Purchase Order workflow in JDE/webapp, MRP)
Supplier Collaboration : Leverage Supplier Collaboration tools to drive innovation & performance (e.g. Master & Transaction data via JDE Supplier Portal)
Supplier Performance : Supplier Scorecard (Delivery, Quality, Invoicing accuracy etc.) in QlikView
Supplier Intelligence/Spend Analytics
Identify Savings opportunities
Aid Supplier negotiations
Notification of Change System
Complaint Management System
Supplier Risk Management
Partnering with the Supplier Council.
Develop/execute/contribute to enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including savings initiatives, cost reduction, resource/location/outsourcing strategies.
Accountable for the full Value Stream and expert at understanding how data interacts between various Supply Chain systems.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
A minimum of Ten years' of progressively responsible experience leading activities in Supplier Management, Supplier Quality, Purchasing, Contracting, or related Digital functional areas, and project and/or change management experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree required
10% travel domestically.
Advanced degree with medical device industry experience is preferred.
ISM or similar certifications in Procurement & Sourcing.
Project and/or change management experience in managing, leading and implementing eProcurement or related systems.
Strong data manipulation and database management skills as well as spreadsheet and analytical skills.
Experience with JDE & ETQ a plus.
Demonstrated competency in execution of multiple large projects simultaneously.
Strong collaboration, delegation and interpersonal communication skills.
Provides specialized expertise to identify, evaluate and develop systems and procedures to meet users' needs
Specific demonstrated applicable experience implementing, managing, or maintaining enterprise grade Source-to-Contract (S2C) and/or Procure to Pay (P2P) and/or Supplier Quality software modules.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong organizational, client service, and interpersonal skills required to work with a wide variety of internal customers.
