Edwards Lifesciences Director, Marketing THV in Irvine, California
The Director of Marketing, THV Product Portfolio for the International Market is responsible for leading a dynamic team of 5 in the development and execution of the commercial marketing strategy for the Edwards balloon expandable platform in markets outside the United States. This role will work in collaboration with regional marketing teams and other relevant stakeholders on the solicitation and synthesis of input from customers and other stakeholders to forge the strategic downstream plan is key to success.
Plan and direct strategic marketing activities including prioritizing and selecting appropriate projects with overall responsibility for meeting business objectives. Lead in identifying risk, developing complex mitigation strategies and best practices while assessing alternative solutions and resolving issues, etc. in collaboration with cross functional and/or matrix teams
Direct the development and execution of the global strategic marketing plan through deep knowledge of
customer journey mapping
analytical methods to establish and evaluate programs
masterful storytelling of clinical, procedure, product and competitive information
Effectively collaborate and consult with regional marketing, upstream marketing, training, clinical, branding, supply chain and other key functions in the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan.
Direct and communicate highly complex strategies which include but not limited to multiple complex concurrent major product, indication or campaign launches, programs, and initiatives Develop key relationships through exceptional executive level communication
critical executive leaders including; Sales, Regional, and Cross Functional VPs
Key Opinion Leaders (physicians, other HCPs and other healthcare stakeholders)
Direct activities and departmental responsibility for developing systems, planning, resource allocation, budgeting, managing expense priorities,
Direct line management responsibilities including a robust talent development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies and responsibility for the desired culture of the department.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience in marketing, sales within medical device or healthcare industry required OR Master's degree and 12 years of experience in marketing, sales within medical device or healthcare industry required OR PhD and 10 years of experience in marketing, sales within related industry.
Solid business acumen and knowledge of medical device environment required.
Domestic and international travel up to 30%
Interventional cardiology experience highly preferred.
Demonstrated track record in people management required
