Edwards Lifesciences Clinical Development Staff Engineer -Transcatheter Mitral and Tricuspid Therapies in Irvine, California
Understand the clinical disease landscape, imaging and user need to define design requirements
Be investigator facing through clinical case support as well as conferences to get feedback on all aspects of the procedure steps and any other areas of interest.
Attend screening calls and clinical cases. Collect and analyze data to provide feedback to guide Procedural Development and Research and Development efforts
Take a hands on role with procedural development, as well as generating ideas alongside case support and therapy SME’s for improvements/optimizations
Work closely with R&D during early stages of development to ensure that all of the correct variables and issues are being considered
Support the development team in ideas for design and own the design and development of prototype testing simulators to help determine ideal designs
Qualifications / Requirements:
A minimum of six years direct, medical device experience is required for Staff Engineer level.
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or other engineering discipline is required.
Position requires an in-depth working knowledge of Transcatheter devices
Strong mechanical and technical background is required
Exposure to the clinical environment is required
Exposure to imaging technologies (TEE, TTE, Fluoroscopy) is a plus
Proficiency in ProE or Solidworks is a plus
Direct experience with case support is a plus
