Edwards Lifesciences FP&A Associate, Manager MEAT in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Manage the FP&A activities and partner with the Cluster leader to ensure driving decisions on strong business case, delivering on financial targets and accelerating plans and key projects.

Support the EEMEA FP&A Senior Manager to establish pricing analysis, providing inputs for sales and operational planning, analyzing and evaluating business cases and participating actively in controlling, reporting, planning and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop annual budget and monthly rolling forecasts, for a reliable and agile forecasting process while utilizing professional judgement to support management

  • Deliver timely and high-quality monthly financial reports, to address business and operational performance highlights and also alert potential risks.

  • Provide guidance and explanation on trends and variances to budget and to forecast Initiate process improvements and provide guidance on the creation and the tracking of the annual operating plan (AOP) for all countries within MENA region and Turkey, South Africa and Iran Work closely with multi-teams to track the financial performance, keep proactive communications and take appropriate actions

  • Provide business reviews and/or ad hoc business-related projects as a financial expert and contribute in-depth knowledge and experiences.

  • Supervise and provide instruction on duties and tasks for Financial Analyst within the Turkey, South Africa and Iran geographies

  • Other incidental duties

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 8 years of previous related experience required

Additional Skills:

  • Proven successful project management skills

  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Oracle)

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Strong business acumen ideally about industry

  • Fluent English required; Arabic language preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards

  • Extensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

  • Extensive understanding of multi-relational impact if the Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow Statement and how journal entries affect each statement

  • Extensive understanding of related aspects of financial processes and/or systems

  • Understanding of major products and keys to success of the business (acumen)

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to represent leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and finance team

  • Ability to consult in project setting within specific sections of financial area

  • Ability to provide financial leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level
