Edwards Lifesciences Grp Leader, Manufacturing- 2nd Shift in Anasco All Locs, Puerto Rico

Provide guidance to assigned Assembler team to ensure productivity and quality goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily production schedules and activities for assigned employees, to achieve production plan and track hourly output in comparison to established metric standards

• Resolve escalated work, using technical (e.g., quality, engineering) resources to establish alternatives to address issues

• Execute daily transactions (e.g., units produced, inventory verification and adjustments, work order printing, issuing materials) in JDE and manually

• Oversee and assess work of Assemblers - which may include visual inspection under a microscope, and sequential review - providing coaching and feedback to ensure work is in compliance with work instructions and SOPs and Assemblers are fully trained to perform assigned tasks, including those associated with revisions

• Replace Assemblers on the line to cover relief breaks, using tools and equipment - which may include one or more of the following welders, solders, ovens, autoclaves, microscopes, magnifiers, scissors, knives, or others - for assembly and packaging/labeling in the manufacturing process of medical device components.

• On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period

• Other incidental duties: General work area housekeeping, in keeping with Six S guidelines and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree or equivalent, required and 6 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a group lead capacity, preferred.

Additional Skills:

• Full understanding of and proficient in manufacturing procedures and operations sequencing for multiple models and other production areas (model/operation)

• Ability to guide other workers/colleagues in understanding operations and quality standards

• Proven ability to complete, retain, and incorporate training coursework in the performance of new and advanced work procedures

• Strong English language skills, including reading, comprehending, speaking and writing

• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills

• Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to department clean room medical device manufacturing

• Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions

• Advanced computer skills with knowledge of manufacturing support systems, working knowledge of JDE system transactions

• Good mathematics skills

• Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts

• Accountable to adhere to applicable Edwards Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality System requirements to ensure our products and services consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

• Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

• Ensure proper handling, storage and disposal of all waste generated in the facility according to applicable laws within the waste management program (RCRA). Prepare regulatory and/or internal reports, complete waste determinations, sign waste manifests and coordinate proper training sessions to affected personnel
